NAME: Ezekiel (Koda) McCune
AGE: 25
PLACE OF ORIGIN: He was born in America. He has traveled to India to fight many times and has also lived in Australia. He lived in North Carolina with his wife.
APPEARANCE: His hair is short, dark brown, and his eyes are the color of the sunset. Some would claim they changed from brown to red after his wife died. His skin is tanned from the sun, and a long scar makes its way down his left arm. He is muscular, because he used to do Muay Thai fighting. He quit for his wife, but that was only a few months ago when she found out she was pregnant. He usually wears a white t-shirt and a pair of jeans. His black boots are sturdy and strong.
PERSONALITY: Koda used to be a sweet, gentle man. A couple months back, he took his wife camping to celebrate her pregnancy. While there, his wife found a 15 year old girl trying to commit suicide by jumping off a ledge into the river. The girl jumped and his wife slipped, trying to catch her. Though Koda desperately tried to save her, her hand slipped as he was pulling her up. He found her washed up on the shore later that day. Since then, he has barely left his apartment. He has become withdrawn and angry. He still has his weakness for protecting women, especially those around his wife's age. He does not take well to teen angst. He sort of blames that for his wife's death.
ABILITIES: Koda is an expert at Muay Thai fighting. He started doing it several years before meeting his wife. He has had experience in other martial arts, but he does not like structured fighting, opting for other types like Muay Thai, grappling, and Mixed Martial Arts. He also has a high pain tolerance. This is because of his many injuries dealing with his past fights. He does have a problem with his right knee. It pains him, and sometimes, it can become a huge burden to fight when it is hurting. His one other ability is his knowledge of the body. During his fighting years, he learned the parts of the body that will hurt for a lifetime once broken, and he knows the pressure points that will incapacitate a person.
DESIRE: To open the orphanage to honor his fallen wife

He could still feel her hand slipping out of his, and he could still hear her muffled screaming as she was carried away in the current. He could still see her dead body, mangled by the rocks when he found it lying down stream. If only he hadn't taken her to that river… if only he hadn't let her lean over the side… the what ifs and if onlys flooded his mind with no chance for breath. He heard a quiet voice at the window. "Koda, you must see this…" He recognized the voice.
"Murray, what do you want?"
The short, pudgy man waved a letter above the window sill. "You said you'd do anything to keep her story alive."
"Nothing can keep my wife alive. She died reaching to save that stupid girl."
Murray was silent for a moment.
"That girl tried to kill herself, and she took my wife with her."
"Koda, that child died, too. She paid for what she did."
Koda turned and glared at Murray, a look that would pierce the hardest soul. "And my wife died for something she didn't do. What are you saying?"
Murray sighed. "Do you want to do right by your wife?"
Koda turned away for a moment. "Yes, Murray, you know I would do anything."
Murray held up the letter once more and waited until Koda turned around to look at him. "Then follow this letter. It offers 1,000,000 as a prize."
"A prize. A prize for what?"
The short man shrugged. "I don't know. I'm sorry. It would give you the money to do something Sherry would have always wanted you to do."
"And what would that be?"
Murray smiled. "Open the orphanage up again."
"I couldn't do it. She had such a soft heart. I… I'm just not cut out for running it. I worked in the…"
The look on Murray's face made Koda stop speaking. "She wanted to do that, you know. If you're going to continue moping around like it's all your fault, fine, but I had hoped you would have wanted to honor her memory."
Murray turned away from the apartment window and started to walk away. "Wait, Murray… I'll do it. Give me the letter."
Murray grinned. "Good. I wish you luck."
Koda retrieved the letter from Murray's hand and read it slowly. "I think this may be more than it seems…" he whispered.

I think I have what he kind of looks like. Would you mind if I uploaded a picture on flickr or something and sent it to you for a critique?
